Position Summary:

Working Hours: Continental shift pattern, working 12-hour shifts on a 5/4 rotation between days and nights.

Responsibilities

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, known internally as Shift Technician (ST), your role is to work across a fully automated distribution centre comprising 4 stores, 20 high crane bays, and 3 miles of conveyors over an area of 36,000 sqm. You will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the site using your engineering expertise, delivering maximum plant reliability through preventative maintenance and electrical testing, fault finding, and problem solving.

· The successful candidate will work in a fully automated distribution centre with 3 high-bays, low-bay, and a power store, including 20 high bay cranes and over 6 kilometers of conveyors.

· Provide support to logistics operations by promptly responding to and rectifying various mechanical equipment faults.

· Be self-motivated to enhance your skills through exposure to all types of breakdowns.

· Understand the implications of cost, quality, hygiene, and safety.

· Demonstrate experience working with automated mechanical equipment.

· Maintain high electrical/mechanical competence to analyze data and improve performance and efficiency.

· Be aligned with SRDC and finished goods warehouse areas, conducting preventative and reactive maintenance and electrical work.

· Support health and safety programs on-site by actively participating in safety initiatives.

· Promote best practices to improve standards.
