Job summary

Ardagh Group in Wrexham is looking for Technical Operators to join the Production Team. You will play a key part in keeping production lines running safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

This role would suit someone with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, experience in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.

Qualifications

• NVQ L3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Experience in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work precisely with strong attention to detail.
• Team player with problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety compliance and policies are adhered to.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with legal/environmental/safety checks.
• Report and support safe repairs to equipment as required.
• Operate can manufacturing equipment to achieve KPI targets.
• Undertake GT100 & GT200 competency tasks as required.
• Operate equipment to maintain quality and minimise downtime.
• Carry out quality checks and report non-conformities.
• Use SPC tools (Infinity and APRISO) to control process integrity.
• Maximise production and minimise spoilage.
• Maintain exemplary housekeeping and safe conditions.
• Operate ancillary equipment like fork trucks after training.
• Perform hygiene, painting, and housekeeping duties.
• Support size and diameter changes.
• Communicate with management and colleagues about defects, issues and improvements.
