Job summary

IPL Wolverhampton is seeking a Shift Technician to support blow moulding operations on a 4-on, 4-off schedule, with day shifts 0645–1900 and night shifts 1845–0700. The role involves assisting production staff, carrying out routine machine maintenance, and learning calibration and repair techniques under supervision.

You will contribute to safety, quality, and productivity by maintaining documentation, covering short-notice shifts when trained, and collaborating with engineering to escalate

Responsibilities

• Operate blow moulding machines and support training plan.
• Perform day-to-day simple repairs and replace consumables.
• Attend simple breakdowns and support NCR responses when required.
• Assist with calibration and repair techniques under supervision.
• Escalate electrical and complex issues to engineering when needed.
• Maintain production areas and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Cross-train for key production roles including material handling, warehouse and QC.
