Shift Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) — Canary Wharf, London. Continental Shift - Days & Night.

The Opportunity

Are you a hands-on Engineer with a knack for problem solving? This is your chance to join a high-performing engineering team at a prestigious banking site in Canary Wharf. You\'ll play a key role in keeping business-critical systems running smoothly in one of London\'s most iconic locations.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Keeping the building\'s electrical and mechanical systems in top shape through planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Responding quickly to faults and breakdowns to keep critical operations online.
  • Working with a wide range of plant, including UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, AHUs, pumps, and BMS systems.
  • Carrying out shift handovers and keeping the CAFM system up to date.
  • Supporting compliance, safety, and contractor supervision on site.
  • Being part of a collaborative shift team that keeps the site running 24/7.
What We\'re Looking For
  • A recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Experience in a critical environment (banking, data centre, hospital, or similar).
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services systems.
  • A team player with the confidence to work independently when needed.
  • Professional, reliable, and client-focused.
  • HV AP experience is a bonus, but not essential.
