We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store supervisor. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Your voice will be integral to everything we do. You’ll lead shifts, working with your team of baristas to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through high-quality service, beverages, and products, while fostering our third place environment.

We are seeking candidates with previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer-facing role. You’ll spend your time running shifts with our customers at the core, coaching your team, and creating a positive learning environment for your partners on shift. Experience in leading operational activities in retail or hospitality environments is beneficial, as you’ll be responsible, alongside the store management team, for achieving results through impact, goal achievement, and operational excellence. You’ll also act as an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring they feel valued and included.

In this role, no two days are the same! Working in a fast-paced store, a typical day could include:

  • Collaborating with the Store Manager to lead shifts, support partners, and inspire memorable moments and the Starbucks Experience for partners and customers
  • Setting priorities using available tools and resources to delegate tasks and drive store profitability
  • Motivating the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, pre-empting and resolving issues as they arise
  • Sharing best practices through identifying teachable moments
  • Viewing challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Managing store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties
  • Ensuring all partners adhere to Starbucks operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures
  • Providing consistent, high-quality beverages and food, following all recipe and presentation standards, and adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Our stores operate during varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.

All partners begin their careers with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers and coaches, designed to immerse you in Starbucks culture and set you up for success. These programs are delivered in-store and support on-the-job learning with your manager.
