Job summary

Linde AMT UK Limited is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead production teams in Swindon, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of targets and customer requirements in an on-site manufacturing environment.

You will drive HSEQ compliance, coach and develop staff, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality and Planning to optimise plant performance.

We offer a competitive salary (£32,000–£36,000), generous holiday, pension and private health insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of production processes, safety requirements, and operational KPIs.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to safely deliver production targets and customer requirements.
• Drive compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Manage and develop production team members through coaching, training, and feedback.
• Monitor and improve productivity, efficiency, and labor performance across the shift.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise downtime and maintain output.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning teams to optimise plant performance.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve processes.
• Communicate shift performance, key issues, and priorities through reporting and handovers.
