Position: Shift Leader HV AP / HV SAP

Purpose of Role: Are you ready to lead the way in ensuring critical electrical systems operate safely and efficiently? As a Shift Leader HV AP / HV SAP, you will play a pivotal role in managing the safe execution of all critical electrical isolations. Your expertise as an Authorised Person will be crucial in controlling activities, overseeing programs of work, and managing trade contractors, all while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your Mission: As our Shift Leader HV AP / HV SAP, your mission revolves around ensuring the seamless operation of critical electrical systems. You will take the reins in overseeing project works, monitoring installations and removals, and providing expert guidance to the client. Your commitment to safety and system resilience will be instrumental in ensuring business continuity and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor project works to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and standards.
• Actively participate in relevant program and project management meetings.
• Oversee system installations and removals, providing essential data and insights.
• Enforce the use of safe work systems for all project works.
• Review Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMs) for optimal system performance.
• Advise the client on critical decisions impacting their operations.
• Align project and business-as-usual (BAU) activities for seamless integration.
• Produce timely and relevant reports as required.
• Identify and escalate critical issues to the project integration technical manager.
• Assist in preparing and executing shutdowns for maximum efficiency.

Accountabilities:

• Operate within established operational and management guidelines.
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Uphold health and safety policies and standards.
• Apply advanced technical skills across various functional areas.
• Optimize performance to drive efficiency and excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

• A strong educational foundation.
• Recognized technical qualifications.
• Comprehensive health and safety training.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations (desired).
• HV qualification (desired).

Experience:

• Management of critical environments and core life-saving infrastructure.
• Proven experience as an Authorised Person for Electrical Systems.
• In-depth understanding and technical proficiency in various building services, including UPS systems, transfer switches, PLC systems, critical cooling systems, water treatment, refrigeration systems, and HV/LV electrical infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge and practical application of health and safety protocols.
