Job description

CK Group is recruiting for a Shift Site Chemist to join a Hazardous Waste Management company at their site based in the West Midlands on a full-time, permanent basis with a salary of £26,000.

As a Site Chemist, your responsibilities will include accepting and inspecting all incoming assignments of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste by following relevant regulations and site procedures.

The role involves working 40 hours per week in shifts, with the following pattern:

• 06:00 - 15:00
• 14:00 - 22:00
• 22:00 - 06:00

Please note, this role requires working both outdoors and indoors.

Location

The Shift Site Chemist will be based at the company's site near Walsall, which is accessible from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stafford, and Coventry.

Role Responsibilities

The main duties include:

• Labelling and processing waste
• Completing waste safety checks
• Sampling received waste for laboratory analysis
• Recording waste acceptance using the SAP system

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree or HNC in Chemistry or a related field (essential)
• Experience working with Hazardous Waste (essential)
• Willingness to work hands-on outdoors in a hazardous chemical environment (essential)
• SAP system experience (desirable)
• FLT Licence (Forklift) (desired)
