Job Description:

The role involves carrying out day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance across multiple production lines, ensuring all works are completed safely, hygienically, and timely. You will work as part of a team to identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements, providing technical problem-solving support to ensure production lines run effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting operations with technical problem-solving to achieve KPIs.
  • Owning engineering actions from performance reviews.
  • Servicing, adjusting, and repairing machinery safely.
  • Reporting on machinery condition and performance.
  • Carrying out planned and preventive maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractor activities for PPM and reactive maintenance, complying with safety standards.
  • Reviewing and updating maintenance procedures.
  • Maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensuring work complies with GMP and GDP standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Formal engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Multi-skilled in fault finding and repair of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and problem recurrence reduction.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (Risk Assessment, PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, SSOW).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
Desirable:
  • Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP knowledge.
  • Experience with equipment like weighers, checkweighers, metal detectors, etc.
  • Proven ability to deliver maintenance and breakdown support in fast-paced environments.
