Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging is seeking a dedicated Quality Leader to maintain and develop GMP-compliant quality practices at the Deeside site, overseeing ISO 9001 and ISO 22001 systems, and coordinating with the European quality initiatives.

You will manage incoming materials quality, supplier and customer quality performance, lead a QA team, calibrate the QA Lab, drive CAPA actions, and support audits while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 22001 quality management systems.
• Experience managing quality across production from raw material to final product.
• Proven ability to lead and develop QA teams and coordinate with internal and customer audits.
• Strong data and documentation control to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

To maintain and proactively develop the plant quality practices, procedures and systems including IMS Sharepoint and Infinity. Assure consistent quality of production from its raw material stage to a completed product by developing and enforcing of GMP, validating processes, providing data and documentation to meet company and customer qualification specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance, development and implementation of systems Quality ISO 9001 and Food Safety ISO22001 management systems.
• Manage the Incoming materials for quality, trial protocols, assessments as per requirements of the business
• Manage the Customer and Supplier quality performance via liaison, audits and complaints received.
• Proactive interface with Plant Teams.
• Manage any associated Cost and Budgetary Controls for the Deeside Quality department.
• Manage and develop the skills and ability of the Quality team.
• Proactively reduce customer complaints.
• Introduction of preventive quality techniques.
• Ensure robust containment, corrective and preventive actions are in place.
• Manager the control of the QA Lab including calibration.
• Ensure a proactive selection and sourcing of automated gauging is in place.
• Ensure Implementation of robust, user friendly, quality measures.
• Manage and respond to Customer Complaints in a timely fashion with robust corrective and preventive actions which may include liaison with Bonn Technical Centre or SMT.
• Manage and respond to Customer Audits in a timely fashion with robust corrective and preventive actions.
• Proactively manage Customer interfaces.
• Actively participate in Customer Relationship Management.
• Feedback Customer performance to the plant in terms of COQ, defect rates, complaints, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Benchmarking performance and techniques inside and outside the industry.
• Co-operation / participation with the European & company quality meetings and initiatives.

Education & Training Requirements:

HNC/HND level or above

Six Sigma Certifications Green Belt as a minimum.

8D training

Auditor training/certification

Competent to use all Microsoft Packages

Desrable:

Food Safety Management Systems and Audit (ISO 9001)

Knowledge of SPC, 5 “S”, capability studies, FMEA

SAP, Apriso and Infinity

Ability to demonstrate safe working practices

Good communicator / team worker / effective listener

Sound problem solving skills

Flexible approach to day-to-day requirements

Ability to demonstrate good decision making in a demanding environment

High level of attention to detail

Must be action orientated with a desire to achieve results / persevere
