Shift Production Operative – Bathford
Salary: £33,171.72 Per annum with continuous payment increases
The role involves working within a highly technical environment, manufacturing unique products for customers worldwide.
Role and Responsibilities
- Operating various machinery for manufacturing and production
- Preparation to control and operate the refining machinery
- Involvement in quality control to test products ensuring they meet customer independent requirements
- Working as part of a team to ensure the operational KPIs are achieved for the shift
- Ensuring operation of equipment is carried out in accordance with the mill’s health, safety and environmental procedures
- Ensuring that the quality requirements for the task undertaken are met
- Measuring, monitoring and reviewing machine performance to prevent and correct deviations from specification
- Proactively improving the efficiency of the paper machine and all associated equipment and operations
- Mentoring and training other team members in the process once trained
The ideal Shift Production Operative will
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a safe and disciplined manner
- Experience within the paper making business (Desirable)
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques such as process flow design, control systems operation and setting, and vision systems (Desirable)
Shift Pattern and Working Hours
- Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 18:00 – 06:00
- Off on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 06:00 – 18:00
- Off on Monday
- Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 18:00 – 06:00
- Off on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Week 4: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 06:00 – 18:00
- 7 Days off
