Job summary

E3 Recruitment is supporting a World Wide market leading manufacturer in the construction sector to recruit a Shift Production Manager for the Ollerton site. The role covers leadership of both automated and labour-intensive production lines, with emphasis on automation where possible.

The successful candidate will drive lean manufacturing techniques, manage multi-functional teams, and implement KPIs across the factory to improve efficiency, quality and HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Senior production/manufacturing leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools.
• ILM Leadership / Management Qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing/production operations across automated and manual processes.
• Promote lean techniques (5S, VSM, SMED, TPM, OEE) across the factory.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and drive efficiency.
• Develop multi-functional/flexible teams across operations.
• Implement KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
• Manage day-to-day shift operations with a focus on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities of Shift Production Manager;

• The leadership of manufacturing / production operations, covering both automated and labour intensive processes, whilst seeking to automate processes where possible
• International Management Skills
• The development and promotion of lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5s, 6 sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, OEE etc, across manufacturing operations
• To identify opportunities to further automate manufacturing processes
• To develop multi-functional / flexible manufacturing teams across operations
• Implement different KPIs across the factory

Qualifications and Experience for a Shift Production Manager;

• Previous experience within a senior production/ manufacturing leadership position, e.g. Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Shift Operations Manager, Shift Production Manager, Production Lead, etc
• Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve teams.
• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing / engineering environment, practically implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques - Lean and Six Sigma.
