Shift Production Engineer

Our Client is a highly successful pharmaceutical manufacturing company seeking a Shift Production Engineer. This full-time, permanent role is based in Great Yarmouth.

Job Purpose

1. Due to ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Production Engineer to join our Client.
2. Our Client is an expanding, fully integrated company involved in research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution.
3. Working in a clean manufacturing environment that adheres to the highest quality standards, you will collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure production plans are met.
4. This role involves hands-on work, following a two-shift pattern:
   1. Week one: Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm and Friday 6am to 1pm
   2. Week two: Monday to Thursday 1.45pm to 10pm and Friday 12.45pm to 6.45pm

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
2. Respond to breakdowns on production equipment promptly.
3. Address production line issues to minimize downtime.
4. Contribute ideas and solutions for continuous improvement of production processes.
5. Collaborate with the team to enhance maintenance procedures.
6. Assist with setup and changeovers of filling and packaging equipment as needed.
7. Accurately complete all required auditable paperwork.
8. Ensure compliance with weekly production plans.

Qualifications / Experience

1. NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
2. Experience in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
3. Ability to work safely and methodically.
4. Experience in an FMCG or pharmaceutical environment with packaging and manufacturing equipment.
5. Ability to follow instructions precisely.
6. Experience with mechanical engineering, filling, and packaging equipment.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
8. Strong commitment to providing excellent 'customer service' to production teams.
9. Self-motivated with a proactive 'can do' attitude.
10. Effective team player and communicator.
