Shift Operations Technician - Power

Alecto Recruitment is seeking experienced Operations Technicians and Process or Production Technicians interested in a Shift Operations Technician role at a power facility on the Isle of Wight.

The position involves working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour day and night shifts), performing frontline operations and maintenance at an energy-from-waste facility in Newport.

Role Responsibilities

• Operate the Isle of Wight Energy from Waste Plant
• Utilize 'on shift' maintenance skills for routine maintenance and repairs of emergent defects
• Provide supervision and support, including fault finding, technical advice, especially during breakdowns
• Work shift patterns with short-notice changes
• Monitor rotating machinery and techniques
• Understand basic chemical processes related to water treatment and emission control
