Job Title: Shift Operational Technician

Location: Beddington

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (including night shifts)

Salary: Circa 50,000 per year

(Inclusive of shift allowance and participation in an annual bonus scheme, plus a comprehensive benefits package)

Job Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for a Shift Operational Technician to join the team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a plant on a 24-hour shift rotation. The role involves both control room operations and field-based duties, ensuring the plant operates effectively and within environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor the plant from a central control room and in the field.
• Perform plant and equipment process changes to optimise performance.
• Diagnose and rectify process and equipment faults.
• Carry out system isolations in line with safety procedures.
• Manage DCS operations and respond to alarms effectively.
• Oversee the operation of the ERF and boiler chemistry.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and conduct thorough shift handovers.
• Monitor plant performance continuously to minimise environmental impact.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing personal development and career progression.
• Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to work.

Candidate Requirements:

• Understanding of safe systems of work, including plant isolations.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A safety qualification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH) is preferred.
