Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging invite applications for a Shift Based Technical Team - Multi Skilled Technician. You will troubleshoot and repair process equipment, support continuous improvement, and backfill training for apprentices within a high-volume manufacturing setting.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds, ONC/HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering, and 18th Edition. Robotics experience with Fanuc/Kuka is desirable.

Qualifications

Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds equivalent.
ONC and HNC in electrical or mechanical engineering.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) – electrical bias.
Experience with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal – electrical bias.
Fabricating/ Machining/ Welding for mechanical bias.
Maintenance engineering in high-volume manufacturing.
Experience with robots (Fanuc + Kuka) desirable.
Strong fault-diagnosis and rectification skills.
Methodical, detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities.
Collaborative, safety-focused team player.
Self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

Work safely while performing routine and non-routine tasks.
Carry out general workshop duties and rework of used parts.
Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment faults.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Support training and development of apprentices and team members.
Maintain housekeeping and a safe, organized environment compliant with food safety.
