Job Title: Shift HVAC Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Shift HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Coventry.

The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Summary

• Identify and manage risks to the client through equipment on site, including critical spares, performance improvements, environment conditions via BMS, and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
• Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client regarding reactive and PPM tasks.
• Fault find on HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume systems, handling refrigerants safely with F-Gas qualifications.
• Support health and safety initiatives within the team.
• Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
• Complete risk assessments and ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation per rules and legislation.
• Use mobile devices for work reporting via CAFM system.
• Plan daily tasks using email and calendars.
• Coordinate with onsite supervisor and account manager on building services issues.
• Deputize for the site supervisor during absence.
• Work overtime, including nights and weekends as required.
• Perform ad hoc duties and supervise subcontractors.
• Participate in an on-call rota for emergencies outside normal hours.

Experience Required

• Recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
• Strong multi-skilled abilities and fault-finding skills.
• Supervisory experience with contractors.
• Ability to complete risk assessments, method statements, and understand permits and safe systems of work.
• F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
