Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management.

We are recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Role Summary
  • Identify and manage risks to the client through site equipment, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving machinery performance.
  • Implement and improve preventative maintenance programs.
  • Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a productive environment.
  • Liaise with the client regarding machinery requests and perform PPMs.
  • Fault find on all types of machinery.
  • Support departmental health and safety initiatives.
  • Provide electrical and mechanical expertise, especially on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  • Write and follow risk assessments and address issues safely and accurately.
  • Complete required documentation in compliance with rules and legislation.
  • Work on three-phase systems up to 440V.
  • Maintain motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Use mobile devices for project management and task completion via the CAFM system.
  • Plan daily work using email and calendars to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate with onsite services to resolve building issues.
  • Act as the responsible person for the department and deputize for the Shift Leader as needed.
  • Work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as necessary.
Experience Required
  • Recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Electrical competencies, including City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 or equivalent, to 18th edition.
  • Mechanical competencies to a standard acceptable to City and Guilds.
  • Strong multi-skilled ability.
  • Experience working on three-phase motors, drives, inverters, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to fault find, diagnose, and repair PLC systems.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical qualifications.
  • Ability to supervise contractors.
  • Ability to write risk assessments and method statements.
  • Understanding of permit systems.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working at height qualification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Experience in heavy engineering.
