Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new opportunity, if you are then we might have the perfect role for you.

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Shift Mechanical Fitter based in Manchester.

The employer is a global leader in fibre-based materials, supplying innovative and sustainable solutions to customers worldwide.

The Role You will be responsible for engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. Key aspects of this role include maintaining, repairing or replacing, where appropriate, all mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

The Successful Candidate we are looking for should have the following key skills:

  • Apprentice trained Engineer or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience of welding within a manufacturing environment.

Safety tops our priorities therefore it is essential that you bring with you a safety mindset and will take a proactive and disciplined approach in adhering to all safety systems and processes. You will be highly motivated with a demonstrable track record of using your own initiative and working as an effective team member. Extensive training will be provided.

These positions require shift working, including nights and weekends, therefore flexibility is essential.
