Equans is looking for a Shift Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Salford on a permanent basis for our Media City contract. This is a full-time role working 38.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to work on the Media City, Manchester contract.
A sound mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is essential.
Experience working on Commercial Hot and Cold-water Systems is essential.
An approved and formal apprenticeship in Plumbing/Mechanical skills or relevant practical experience within a similar industry is required.
Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
Complete all statutory and non-statutory maintenance according to set schedules and SLAs.
Complete reactive works in line with SLAs.
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, including ISO & 14.
Ability to read technical diagrams, work to plans (method statements), and communicate technical information effectively.
Impact:
The role requires a reliable Mechanical Engineer capable of working independently or within a team, producing high-quality reports and estimates. As the face of EQUANS on site, smart appearance and good communication skills are necessary.
Complexity:
Demonstrate competence with relevant qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years in the FM industry.
Carry out maintenance and reactive calls.
Perform general plumbing and mechanical tasks.
