Job Title: Mechanica Maintenance Engineer (Critical Environment)

Location: Large critical site East London

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights rotation) 7am/7pm 7pm/7am

Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a high-stakes environment?

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Mechanical & Ventilation Engineer to join our expert maintenance team. In this role, you will be essential to ensuring the resilience and reliability of our facility's core infrastructure. Working within a state-of-the-art critical environment, you will be responsible for maintaining the systems that keep our operations running 24/7.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives on technical challenges and wants to be a key player in a dynamic and supportive team.

Your Role:

As a Mechanical & Ventilation Engineer, you will:

  • Perform crucial repairs and replacements to mechanical and ventilation assets to ensure the seamless continuation of service.

  • Collaborate with and assist the Ventilation Work Coordinator in delivering the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule and responding to plant repairs.

  • Act as a key advisor on the effectiveness of the ventilation PPM program, suggesting additions, deletions, or alterations to optimise performance.

  • Assist in the completion of all relevant technical documentation and reports to ensure compliance and accurate record-keeping.

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for any enquiries or problems related to the ventilation PPM programme.

  • Uphold and promote the highest standards of Health & Safety, ensuring all work complies with statutory requirements and site policies.

  • Foster excellent communication and teamwork between the ventilation maintenance team and other M&E disciplines.

We're Looking For:
  • A qualified engineer with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical engineering discipline.

  • A strong understanding of mechanical maintenance and repair techniques, including experience with specialist tooling for unplanned failures and plant rebuilds.
