Job Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line mechanical support to the production process and auxiliary equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair faulty mechanical systems, assemblies, and parts.
- Diagnose and repair faulty CPUK equipment, including basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform basic fault analysis and early failure recognition.
- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings, documentation, and standards.
- Use and maintain relevant measuring equipment and tools.
- Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and programs.
- Implement WCM practices and other CPUK systems.
- Check the accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
- Collaborate with other departments and maintenance teams.
- Assist operators with machinery maintenance.
- Support training and cooperate with external personnel such as agency workers and contractors.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Adhere to requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, BRC, and other applicable standards.
- Dress appropriately for the role, following all relevant H&S regulations.
- Perform additional duties as required, consistent with the role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Job-specific qualifications, such as NVQs in Maintenance.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Skills in mechanical maintenance, repair, and fault analysis.
- Knowledge of basic technical drawings.
- Ability to work as part of a team, follow specifications, meet deadlines, prioritize workload, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
