We are looking for a full or part-time passionate, big personality, and energetic Shift Manager to lead from the front and create exceptional dining experiences at our new Guildford fresh pasta restaurant. The role involves cooking and serving the freshest pasta, opening doors to one of the coolest locations in town. Picture chefs making fresh pasta in the window, Italian funk and jazz, the aroma of ragù, pasta making classes, Vespa drivers, and more.

As Shift Manager, you’ll oversee operations during your shift, foster a positive environment, and ensure our passion for authentic Italian cuisine shines through. What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

• Manage the restaurant floor and kitchen, ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and operational procedures.
• Oversee dish quality, participate in food prep, and love good food.
• Lead front and back of house staff.
• Address challenges proactively and make quick decisions.
• Engage with guests, recommend menu items, and answer questions passionately.
• Participate in kitchen magic, preparing pasta dishes.
• Train new staff and conduct ongoing training.
• Manage shifts and time-off requests.
• Handle cash and reconcile transactions accurately.
• Assist with budget planning and cost control.
• Conduct safety checks and address issues promptly.
• Maintain a positive vibe during busy shifts.

Who you are:

• Experienced as a Shift Manager or similar in hospitality.
• A natural leader with motivating skills.
• Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
• Calm under pressure and stress.
• Passionate about food and hospitality.
• Detail-oriented and committed to excellence.
• Supportive team player, eager to grow with us.
• Bonus: experience in coffee, wine, or pasta is advantageous.
