We are looking for a full or part time passionate, big personality and energetic Shift Manager who can help us lead from the front and create exceptional dining experiences at our new Chiswick fresh pasta restaurant. We won’t just be cooking and serving our customers the freshest pasta in town (although that’s a big part of it!), but opening doors to one of the coolest locations in town.

Picture this: chefs making fresh pasta in the restaurant window to entice the people of Chiswick. The atmosphere will feature Italian funk and jazz, the aroma of ragù, in-house pasta-making classes, buzzing Vespas, and more.

As Shift Manager, you’ll lead by example, overseeing operations during your shift, and fostering a positive environment where our passion for authentic Italian cuisine shines. What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

• Manage the restaurant floor and kitchen, ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards.
• Oversee kitchen and dining areas, ensuring quality and presentation of dishes. Participate in food prep and cooking when needed.
• Be the primary point of contact for staff.
• Address challenges proactively and make quick decisions.
• Engage with guests, recommend menu items, and answer questions passionately.
• Participate in pasta dish preparation and presentation.
• Train new staff and conduct ongoing training for current team members.
• Manage shifts, schedules, and time-off requests.
• Handle cash transactions and reconcile accounts accurately.
• Assist with budget management and cost control.
• Conduct safety and health checks regularly and address issues promptly.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere during busy shifts.

• Experienced in hospitality management, particularly as a Shift Manager or similar role.
• A natural leader who motivates and guides teams.
• Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.
• Calm under pressure, capable of handling stressful situations.
