Shift Manager – HV Electrical (Critical Environments)

Location: Hounslow

Shift-based | 24/7 Rota Coverage

Join a world-class team at a premier financial services data centre, where resilience, precision, and performance meet. We’re looking for a seasoned and proactive Shift Manager (HV Electrical) to lead a dedicated engineering team in a highly critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers across a 24/7 shift rota, ensuring smooth and compliant operation.
• Carry out and supervise maintenance and fault rectification on critical plant and systems.
• Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of works through the Permit to Work and Risk Assessment processes.
• Monitor and control the BMS to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
• Liaise directly with the client, maintaining strong working relationships and professional communication.
• Ensure documentation is up to date – including job sheets, compliance logs, handovers, and incident reports.
• Train, mentor, and conduct annual reviews for shift engineers.
• Manage sub-contractors on site, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are met.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for team members, sometimes at short notice.

Requirements

• HV Electrical Qualification and ability to obtain/maintain Authorised Person status.
• Solid background in building services within critical environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals).
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and PTW systems.
• Experience in leading shift teams and overseeing third-party contractors.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Computer-Based Maintenance Systems (e.g., SI or similar).
• Flexibility to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
