Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen our depot operations management team.

You will work closely with our self-employed Owner Drivers (ODs) and employed drivers, building strong relationships, keeping them engaged, well-managed, and motivated to deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure depot targets for Core Routes are achieved
• Achieve depot targets for Stops Per Route (SPR)
• Set up all delivery and collection routes properly
• Ensure drivers scan and load their vans safely and efficiently
• Maintain ongoing communication with drivers to resolve issues
• Ensure resources are available for ad-hoc collections, using drivers or couriers/agencies
• Complete all relevant documentation and systems accurately, adhering to company and legislative requirements
• Work towards KPIs related to Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport, and Health & Safety
• Achieve 'Depot Clear' in line with depot targets

• Strong communication skills to inspire and motivate teams

• Proficient in using Google Chrome applications and reporting tools
• Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports
• Vigilant and proactive in addressing unscrupulous activity
