Job summary

Astemo UK, LTD. in Bolton is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a new production line, supervise the manufacturing team and ensure safe, efficient output across the shift.

You will coordinate priorities, uphold IATF 16949 quality standards, drive continuous improvement and manage KPI metrics, with strong hands-on leadership.

Experience in electronics manufacturing and lean manufacturing, plus ability to work cross-functionally with OEMs, is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, including IATF 16949 and PPAP.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift priorities to meet build schedules and pre-SOP readiness.
• Monitor and maintain product quality, addressing defects promptly to meet specifications.
• Lead, train and motivate shift employees with performance evaluations.
• Oversee equipment operation and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Track KPI metrics (output, yield, efficiency) and report progress to senior management.
• Address production bottlenecks and supply chain disruptions to maintain continuous operations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies, including documentation.
