Job Description:

What you will enjoy doing

  • You will supervise & control all variety of production plants to ensure pipeline tonnage customer demands are met, liquid production is maintained, and Hydrogen trailers are filled to meet agreed budget targets.
  • To work in collaboration with the ROC in monitoring & operating plant, improving plant range, flexibility & performance.
  • Further, you will control and supervise contractor personnel in accordance with site rules and regulations and Permit to Work requirements.
  • You will ensure all plant operations & associated work is carried out safely to BOC Standards and Statutory Regulations.
  • Additionally, you will act as Senior Person on Site for on and offsite emergencies, and implement Site Emergency Plans as required.
  • To lead and manage a shift team, and maintain good relationships with ROC and all other site personnel.
  • Out of hours, have ultimate responsibility for all aspects of site operations.
  • Also, you will provide support to the Margam satellite sites during Satellite week as directed by the Satellite Plant Manager.

What makes you great

  • You have an ONC or HNC in an Engineering discipline.
  • Moreover, you have experience of shift team working on a process plant in a position of some responsibility.
  • Operating experience of ASU’s and associated equipment is required, as well as operating experience of hydrogen plant reformers, carbon monoxide installations, and associated equipment.
  • Detailed knowledge of pipeline customer contracts.
  • You have a good base knowledge and understanding of BOC, industry, and statutory standards and codes of practice.
  • Detailed knowledge of BOC Permit to Work procedures and relevant emergency plans (Site, Off Site, Pipeline, and Transport Emergency).
  • Good basic understanding of current Health, Safety, and Environment legislation.
