Job summary

GXO Logistics in Wakefield is seeking a Shift Manager to join our equipment management operation for Morrisons RRU. You will oversee a fast-paced recycling operation handling returned products and equipment from stores, ensuring efficiency and safety.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join our team in Wakefield, supporting our customer, Morrisons. As a Shift Manager at our Equipment Management operation for our Morrisons RRU, you will be responsible for the management of the fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores. It's all about recycling and reuse!

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, 13:00 till 21:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000.00 per annum and 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• Oversee the running of the recycling operation
• Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company's policies
• Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A warehouse operational management background
• An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
• Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and creating development plans
• The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
