Job summary

Greggs plc in Taunton is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the shop when the Manager isn’t around, inspiring the team to deliver great customer service across in-store, delivery and Click + Collect channels.

You’ll manage preparation, ovens, stock displays and ensure a clean, welcoming store, while supporting your colleagues and fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can be themselves at work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop during the Manager's absence and ensure smooth shifts.
• Interact with customers in a fast, friendly manner and resolve issues.
• Prepare products, manage ovens and ensure displays are well stocked.
• Keep the shop clean, tidy and presentable throughout the shift.
• Support colleagues to deliver great service across channels (in-store, delivery, click & collect).

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.As part of the management team, you’ll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager isn’t around. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You’ll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fully stocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean, tidy and presentable
