Position: Shift Manager

Contract Type: Permanent – 45 hours per week

Location: Stafford ST16 3EF

Shift: Nights / Sunday - Thursday / 23:00 - 08:30

About the role:

This role ensures the safe and efficient throughput of traffic within the various sortation areas of the operation, in accordance with work area requirements. You need a strong work ethic and attention to detail. It’s a physical role in a busy warehouse hub, requiring constant activity throughout your shift. Your focus on detail will ensure parcels reach customers on time.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Management & reconciliation of warehouse operations (deliveries, Holdbay, etc.)
  • Efficient management of bulk/return deliveries with C&D and LGV fleet
  • Support bulk collection customer planning
  • Support LGV transport rules & regulations
  • Assist the Site/Operations Manager as needed
  • Deploy operational resources effectively according to work area needs
  • Achieve or exceed KPI targets
  • Manage agency workers, ensuring statutory compliance
  • Maintain daily communication between shifts for accurate handovers
The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or similar role
  • Knowledge of resource management and deployment
  • Excellent communication skills for operational information exchange
  • Good IT skills
