  • This is an exciting opportunity to join one of main customer sites at Fawley as a Shift Manager, reporting into the Plant Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in the safe and reliable operation of the site
  • As part of this role, you will work closely and collaboratively with our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to ensure optimum production efficiency is achieved at Fawley
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all plant and machinery is operating efficiently and safely to BOC standards as well as statutory regulations

  • You will review daily shift and production reports produced by the ROC and suggest where improvements can be made
  • Furthermore, you will inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis to diagnose faults, provide feedback and raise notifications and work orders where required
  • Lastly, given the nature of this role you will be working on a shift basis, however there is a level of flexibility with plenty of great opportunities available to learn and develop

What Makes You Great

  • You have completed an engineering apprenticeship in either mechanical, electrical or process field with a reasonable level of on-the-job experience in a similar industry
  • If you have a process engineering background in a refining, petrochemicals, or gases industry this would be an advantage
  • You have excellent communication skills as you will be required to work with multiple people across the organisation
  • In addition, you are curious with great problem-solving skills
  • Furthermore, you are organised with a pragmatic approach and have the ability to plan proactively and think ahead
