A leading environmental services company in Sheffield is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee operations at their facility. Qualifications

• Previous work in the waste treatment or chemical processing industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental systems is essential.
• Operating FLT is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the shift team.
• Provide adequate training and resources for site operations.
• Promote environmental awareness and health and safety standards.

Skills

Knowledge of COMAH / MAH / OSSOW

Experience in waste treatment or chemical processing

Hours: 40 hours per week average over the year, shift work 4 on 4 off (06:00-18:00 then 10:00-22:00 Sat and Sun 06:00-16:00hrs)

What you'll be doing;

• Manage the day to day running of the shift teams on the SLF plant., including staff holidays and sickness management etc
  
• Provide adequate and appropriate training to ensure site operations have sufficient resources.
  
• Participate in the site/facility QHS meetings, actively promoting environmental awareness and Health and safety standards
  
• Work with the site management team to ensure day-to-day site operations are run in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  
• Provide daily tasks to, and supervise a team of operatives ensuring priorities in line with site requirements.
  
• Provide cover for the Site Operations Manager role as and when required
  

What we're looking for;

• Knowledge of COMAH / MAH / OSSOW (Operational Safe Systems of Work)
  
• Previous work within the waste treatment or chemical processing industry, plant control systems and equipment
  
• Knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental systems
  
• FLT trained
  
• Driving licence advisable
