Job Description

Our Site Manager is recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to strengthen their depot operations team.

In this role, you will manage a team of warehouse operatives overnight, ensuring they are engaged, organized, and motivated, while unloading the lorries arriving at the depot efficiently and on time. You will oversee the accurate sortation of parcels to meet Key Performance Indicators.

Other key responsibilities include:

1. Ensure company Confirmed At Depot (CAD) % is achieved.
2. Achieve depot Throughput target in line with tip time.
3. Meet company saturation targets.
4. Achieve depot "parcels per person hour" target.
5. Meet all depot objectives related to Health & Safety, productivity, and cost to deliver outstanding service.
6. Resourcing additional staff at short notice for employee absences.

Qualifications

You should have experience in a fast-paced operation with proven people management skills, including accountability for motivating and leading a high-performing team. Additionally, we expect:

1. Strong communication skills to inspire and manage your team.
2. Decisive decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
3. High resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility.
4. Excellent computer skills, including Google Chrome applications.
5. Ability to generate comprehensive reports and analyze data.
6. Vigilance against unscrupulous activity and swift action when needed.
