Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking a committed Shift Manager to support the store management team and deliver consistent results. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

The role focuses on driving sales, managing people, and maintaining high standards of service across the store in the United Kingdom. A strong leadership presence and customer-centric approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift using every team member.
• Provides balanced feedback to improve performance of colleagues.
• Sets the pace of the team when on shift, by being hands-on.

As Shift Manager you will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work. Key Responsibilities Include

Maximise profit:

• Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
• Play an active role in your store to “sell a £1 & save a £1” to help drive sales.
• Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.

Engage, Develop & Retain Great People

• Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
• Support team engagement in your store.
• Play a part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
• Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your own knowledge to support up-skilling the team.

Doing The Right Processes And Doing Them Right

• Complete any actions set for you by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk focusing on what the customer sees.
• A positive approach to service, both in store and at the doorstep always aiming to be the best place to shop.
• Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes.
• Play your part in providing the best digital service through implementing all “One Best Way” processes.
