Job description

Job Title: 24/7 Shift Manager – HV Electrical
Location: Hounslow
Salary: Up to £67,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Shift-Based – 24/7 Rotation)
Sector: Critical Environments / Facilities Management

We are currently recruiting for an experienced 24/7 Shift Manager – HV Electrical to join a critical environment site in Hounslow. This is a permanent, full-time role working on a rotational shift pattern covering 24 hours, 365 days per year.

As Shift Manager, you will lead a team of engineers delivering both planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services systems. You will also play a key role in maintaining uptime and compliance within a highly regulated critical site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of the operation at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all site operations during your shift, including engineers and subcontractors

  • Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive works are completed in line with SLAs and KPIs

  • Operate and manage high-voltage systems (HV) and maintain Authorised Person (AP) status

  • Oversee the operation of BMS and environmental control systems

  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation for health & safety, quality, and building compliance

  • Operate and control Permit to Work systems in line with internal procedures and client expectations

  • Maintain comprehensive handover notes and reports for continuity across shifts

  • Supervise and audit sub-contractor work, ensuring method statements and risk assessments are in place and adhered to

  • Ensure a professional and safe working environment is maintained

  • Support the development, training, and performance reviews of engineering staff on your shift

Requirements:
  • HV Qualified with current or previous Authorised Person status

  • Previous experience working in critical environments (e.g., data centres, banking, healthcare, etc.)

  • Strong working knowledge of building services systems (electrical and mechanical)

  • Ability to lead and motivate shift-based engineering teams

  • Excellent knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work

  • Strong IT skills, including experience with CAFM/CBMS systems

  • Flexible approach to shift coverage, overtime, and emergency call-outs when required
