Job summary

Greggs plc is seeking a Shift Manager to lead and motivate the team, ensuring customers have an amazing experience whether in-store, via delivery, Click + Collect or drive-thru. You’ll look after the shop when the Manager isn’t around, keep displays stocked, and uphold high standards with a hands-on leadership style.

You’ll be responsible for preparing products, serving customers promptly, and guiding colleagues to deliver great service across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Reliable with natural leadership abilities and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Previous team supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment preferred.
• Availability to meet role requirements and flexibility on shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver outstanding results and uphold shop standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers quickly and warmly.
• Prepare products, including sandwiches, and manage ovens.
• Keep displays fully stocked and shop looking clean and presentable.
• Look after the shop and team when the Manager is not on site.

Job description

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first. As part of the management team, you’ll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager is not around. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job. We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You'll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fully stocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean, tidy and presentable
