Your Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager to join our operation based in East Midlands Gateway, Derby, to manage the pick, pack, dispatch and shipping operation across a time critical fast track operation ensuring tight SLAs are adhered to whilst maintaining operational excellence.

This role requires commitment to Wednesday – Saturday shift pattern, 5am to 2:45pm.

Responsibilities
  • Report into the Operations Manager and manage daily interaction with the Stock & Planning teams to understand workflow and operational volumes across your shift.
  • Coordinate your team’s daily activity to achieve operational targets and identify areas for quality, cost, and service improvements across the site.
  • Collate all necessary site operational reports and data and submit them within required timescales.
  • Maintain labour resource availability for spikes in volume and seasonality changes.
  • Work cooperatively with others, foster a team spirit across the site, and take full responsibility for Health & Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ).
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience as a Shift Manager, Supervisor, or Shift Leader in a 3PL/warehousing environment.
  • Prior experience operating an FMCG/e-commerce operation is preferred.
  • Robust people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to understand, follow, and champion company procedures.
