Job summary

Farmfoods is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager in Daventry to lead warehouse operations, manage staffing and ensure health and safety compliance. The role requires maximizing efficiency, coaching team members, and delivering high-quality service across shifts, including nights.

You will oversee inductions, performance reviews and staff development while maintaining strong engagement with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of cost savings, productivity, quality control and error reduction.
• Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
• Effective communication with team, transport and customers.
• Commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility to work various shift patterns.
• Experience in HR-related activities: performance review, appraisal, disciplinary, grievance and strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
• Open to Army, Navy and Royal Air Force service leavers and veterans.

Responsibilities

• Utilise available resources to maximise efficiency and exceed KPIs.
• Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements.
• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
• Ensure high levels of hygiene and housekeeping.
• Deliver team member performance reviews, development and succession planning.
• Monitor, review, and act upon operational reports to maintain quality.
• Escalate potential issues to the appropriate Site Manager.
• Manage new starters’ induction training and ongoing development.
• Promote a culture of employee engagement.
• Ensure SOP compliance and maintain customer focus and service.
• Conduct team briefings daily or weekly as required.

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, any 5 days from 7 am (including weekends). Salary: £38,000 per annum.

Key Details

• Location: Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way N, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Induction starts in August.
• Available shift pattern: Night (10pm-6am).
