Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to oversee the night shift in a food manufacturing environment. You will manage all production activities and supervise staff to ensure adherence to plans, recipes and quality standards.

Coordination with Quality/Technical and Production managers will be essential, along with maintenance liaison and ongoing HACCP compliance. You will also maintain hygiene, safety and traceability records to deliver safe, compliant products.

Responsibilities

• Plan resources to meet production plan and recipes.
• Liaise with Quality/Technical Manager and Production Manager on process, product and quality issues.

Shift Manager

My client who works within the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skill set and passion to join a fantastic team.

The Shift Manager will manage all production and employees on the night shift.

Key Details: Shift Manager

• Monday to Friday - 44 hour working week.
• Salary up to £40,000.
• Permanent contract.
• Room for progression.

Duties and Experience: Shift Manager

• Plan resources to achieve production plan, produce mixes according to the plan and recipes.
• Liaise with Quality/Technical Manager and Production Manager regarding process, product and quality system issues.
• Liaise with Production Manager regarding production planning and resources, as well as the Engineering department regarding maintenance and breakdown of equipment.
• Respect and ensure that pasteurisation operatives respect and execute all procedures (QP, PP, HP) and HACCP system at all times.
• Complete the pasteurisation paperwork/due diligence records in a correct and readable manner to ensure total traceability.
• Participate in internal audit and GMP audit.
• Ensure that all ingredients are available for the following few days production.
• Respect the COSHH regulations and all the other areas covered by the adopted Health and Safety Policy and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times according to the Hygiene procedures to keeping the working environment clean and safe and to ensure the manufacturing of safe products.
• Responsible for ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are implemented and maintained.
• To ensure the hygiene standards, cleaning procedures, practices and equipment are continually re-evaluated in line with best practice, customer guidelines and legislation.
