Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is recruiting a Shift Manager for a three-shift pattern (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am) at a fast-paced manufacturing site. You will lead up to 25 operators and 2 team leaders, ensuring 5S, KPI delivery and OEE reporting.

The role emphasizes lean improvements, labour planning, attendance control and training needs, with a focus on driving efficiency, scrap reduction and smooth daily handovers.

Qualifications

• Management experience in an automotive or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• ILM Level 3 Management qualification.
• Knowledge of 5S and workplace organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team KPIs are hit and reported at the end of each shift.
• Lead cell leaders and coordinate and implement improvement activities using lean techniques.
• Measure and monitor timekeeping and attendance records, including labour and training requirements with the team.
• Improve 5S activities and provide feedback during daily team briefings.
• Generate OEE and report in weekly core team meetings to address issues affecting OEE.
• Control labour efficiency, manufacturing output, efficiencies, scrap, and housekeeping.

M-Tec Engineering is working with a fast paced manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Shift Manager to work on a three shift pattern (6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/10pm-6am).

As a Shift Manager you will be responsible for up to 25 operators and 2 team leaders who work in the same time frame, ensuring 5s process are adhered too.

The Shift Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensuring team KPI's are hit and reported at the end of the shift.
• Manage cell leaders and coordinate & implement improvement activities using lean techniques
• Measure and monitor accurate timekeeping & attendance records together with labour & training requirements with you team
• Improve 5S activities and feedback to team during daily team briefing sessions
• Generate OEE and advise accordingly through weekly core team meetings to assist with closure of any issues that affect OEE.
• Control labour efficiency and manufacturing output; Efficiencies, Scrap Control and Management of housekeeping

The ideal candidate will have the following skillset and qualifications:

• Management experience in the automotive sector (or any other fast paced manufacturing sector)
• ILM Level 3 Management.
• Knowledge of 5s.
