Job Description:

Location: Cannock

Salary: Circa £43,190 per annum including cover and night shift allowances

Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off / 07:00 to 19:00 (Days), 19:00 to 07:00 (Nights)

Role Overview

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring plant availability through timely execution of PPMs, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements. They will promote best practices in engineering, compliance, and health & safety standards daily.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure high operational availability and efficient breakdown repairs by diagnosing faults and conducting effective repairs promptly.
  • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime, documenting recurrent faults, and developing engineered solutions.
  • Perform minor maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specific repairs and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure standards are met.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter or similar role, preferably in waste/water treatment plants.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical discipline; mechanical or electrical bias.
  • Potential job titles include Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Shift Electrician, etc.
