Job summary

Faserbeton UK Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site near Stafford. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across a range of plant and machinery, with emphasis on mechanical and basic electrical fault finding.

A solid electrical background is advantageous for troubleshooting panels, motors and sensors. The role involves a 40-hour week with rotating day, night and shift patterns, and offers on-site parking, pension andLeave allocations.

Qualifications

• Competent engineer with strong mechanical skills and basic electrical fault finding ability.
• Experience in heavy industry environments is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on plant, machinery and facilities.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on conveyors, mixers and related equipment.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and fault-find on control panels, motors and sensors.
• Participate in site electrical maintenance activities.

Job description

Mechanical Engineer

The successful candidate will work at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Stafford. Applicants will have excellent mechanical engineering skills and ideally some basic electrical fault find and repair skills.

The Role:

Reporting to the Production manager the Shift Maintenance Engineer will be required to undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities. Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Mechanical & electrical maintenance / repair of a wide range of machinery including conveyors, mixers, and much more
• Maintenance and repair of hydraulic & pneumatic machinery
• Electrical fault finding and repair control panels, motors, contactors, sensors, relays etc
• Site facilities electrical maintenance

Candidates:

The Mechanical Engineer will be a competent engineer with good mechanical and basic electrical fault find and repair skills. Preferably you will hold formal mechanical or electrical engineering qualification e.g.NVQ level 3 or HND/HNC in electrical engineering. Previous work experience in heavy industry environment such as quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.

Hours of work:

40 hour week, rotating Days / Noons / Nights
