Job Description: Shift Maintenance Electrician
Equans, a renowned energies & services contractor and part of the Bouygues group, specializes in the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure worldwide.
We are offering a permanent position for a Shift Maintenance Electrician at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. The role involves working 38.5 hours per week on a 4-shift rotation (4 days on, 4 days off), with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
The Role:
- Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor
- Maintaining building systems and equipment to management standards
- Performing electrical and mechanical planned and reactive maintenance tasks
- Completing paperwork accurately, including recommendations and material needs
- Recommending replacement parts to ensure high equipment availability
- Overseeing specialist sub-contractors
- Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation
- Providing cover for other technicians and participating in a call-out rota
The Person:
- Recognized electrical apprenticeship and relevant Level 3 qualifications, with industry experience; mechanical skills are a plus
- Desirable: C&G Testing & Inspection and BS qualifications
- Must hold at least one AP/CP role and maintain necessary training
- Experience in building services, maintenance, or facilities management is advantageous
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team with a proactive attitude
- Security clearance is required, which involves 5 years UK residency and a British/EU passport
