Job Type: Full Time
Reports To: General Store Manager
Position Summary
You are the Captain of your Area. You are responsible for ensuring consistency of Service standards, providing excellent service, and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the Front of House. You are accountable for achieving the store’s sales and profit by maintaining upselling procedures and guest care. It is your responsibility to keep your team motivated and create a cheerful, professional working environment that encourages guests to return to German Doner Kebab.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence in the Front of House area at a German Doner Kebab Restaurant.
- Ensure guest service meets company standards and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Respond efficiently to guest complaints and take appropriate actions.
- Ensure the best quality of products is served.
- Organize the Front of House and supervise responsibilities to ensure team and guest satisfaction.
- Train and direct team members to ensure excellent guest service.
- Appraise personnel performance and provide feedback to motivate and improve productivity.
- Maintain stock inventory for Front of House and analyze consumption.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Promote and publicize the GDK brand.
- Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example.
- Monitor Front of House operations and initiate corrective actions.
- Serve as duty manager on a rotation basis.
- Lead pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate targets, share feedback, and brief the team.
- Take responsibility for the business performance of the Front of House.
- Ensure operations adhere to GDK guidelines.
- Address root causes of guest complaints and resolve issues.
- Ensure all employees adhere to uniform standards.
- Meet and greet guests and organize table reservations.
- Supervise shifts of dining and counter staff.
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety.
- Prepare cash drawers and petty cash as required.
- Assist in any Front of House position as needed.
- Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude.
- Complete daily reports at the end of each shift.
- Attend training or meetings as required by GDK or the Franchisee.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Front of House with the General Store Manager.
- Monitor stock storage areas and maintain cleanliness.
- Collaborate to ensure stock control and margin targets are met.
- Complete daily paperwork.
- Meet and greet customers and role model exceptional guest care.
- Lead and maintain high standards of guest care.
- Support team colleagues during peak times and undertake operational duties as needed.
- Ensure team grooming standards are met.
- Follow legal responsibilities and requirements.
- Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:
A qualified candidate should have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork. The following qualities are preferred:
- Proven experience as Supervisor/Duty Manager in the Food Industry
- Experience in guest service management
- Extensive guest care knowledge
- Proficiency in English
- Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
