German Doner Kebab is a rapidly growing restaurant brand, changing the perception of kebabs with over 90 restaurants worldwide. We pride ourselves on industry-leading service, exceptional food, and memorable guest experiences. We are seeking a Back of House Shift Leader to join our team in Scarborough.

You will work alongside the Restaurant Management team, ensuring high-quality food, guest care, and service. Your role involves leading your team, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.

Requirements:

  • Prioritize guest experience and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality and attention to detail.
  • Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance, training, and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Hygiene standards.
  • Manage stock, understand GP% figures, and control costs.
  • Maintain operational standards for food and service quality.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Support team development and onboarding of new members.

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Maintain portion control and monitor food levels.
  • Experience with high-volume trading preferred.
  • Provide training and cross-training to enhance team productivity.
  • Adhere to food handling and safety standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation according to brand standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Understand menu items thoroughly.
  • Manage paperwork, P&L, budgets, and payroll efficiently.
  • Oversee stock levels and controllable costs to maximize profitability.
