Job summary

B&Q Glasshoughton is hiring a Shift Lead on a permanent part-time basis, 18.75 hours per week. The role carries an hourly rate of £14.50, plus pension and 6.6 weeks holiday. Shifts run from early morning to early evening with weekend work on a rota basis.

You will lead a team to deliver great customer service while ensuring store safety and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include aligning staff to cover shifts, acting as a first point of contact, and maintaining a welcoming store

This is a keyholder position, with shifts ranging from an earliest start time of 6am to a latest finish time of 8.30pm. Weekend availability required, shifts on a rota basis with alternate weekend working. Role

Your role as a Shift Lead is pivotal in ensuring a safe working and shopping environment. You’re the person who will oversee your shift to cultivate a great experience for both colleagues and customers daily. It’s B&Q’s ambition to make every customer count, so you’ll strive to ensure B&Q is a place colleagues love to work, and customers love to shop. In this role you will:

• Be the heartbeat of the store day-to-day and ensure operations are running smoothly.
• Make sure colleagues are deployed correctly to ‘make every customer count’ throughout your shift.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.
• Make sure our stores are safe at all times.
