Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer to maintain healthcare estate facilities in Coventry.

The role involves diagnosing faults, repairing electrical/mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You will monitor maintenance tasks via CAFM, work a 42-hour week with a 4-on/4-off shift pattern, and contribute to service excellence across critical environments.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• Completion of a structured training programme in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (min 3 years).
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivariant and IOSH Working Safely are required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and judge issues across pre-planned, reactive and unplanned maintenance within a controlled environment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations; share knowledge with others.
• Deliver high workmanship standards across complex systems and understand mechanical/electrical interrelations.
• Monitor the CAFM system to ensure tasks are assigned and resolved within timescales.
• Observe health and safety regulations including COSHH, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos and legionella.
