Job summary

Stagecoach Yorkshire is looking for a hands-on Shift Fitter/Mechanic at Ecclesfield Depot, near Sheffield, to maintain a modern fleet to high safety and performance standards.

You could come from PSV/HGV, automotive, or plant maintenance, with NVQ Level 3 desirable, and you’ll be supported with training, overtime opportunities, and a generous benefits package including a pension, 25 days' holiday, and free travel for you and a companion.

Qualifications

• A strong engineering background with a focus on vehicles (PSV/HGV, truck, haulage, automotive) is essential.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is desirable, but strong practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on the fleet in line with Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools.
• Responding to vehicle issues at the depot and on the road; supporting apprentices and junior team members.
