An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Rhyl garage as a Shift Fitter reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles.

The role will involve:

  • Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
  • MOT preparation
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
  • Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday, shifts between 05.00 and 17.30

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
  • Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
  • Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
  • A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
  • Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
